ABOUT
I am a freelance Writer/Blogger and Unpublished Author and have been writing since I was 13yrs old. For me writing is one of the best forms of communication, when words can’t be spoken. I have a passion and a drive to use this ability to speak positively into people’s lives, and use it creatively to highlight injustice and use it wisely to inspire the next generation.

‘SKINNY JEANS‘.... Written by Petula Hippolyte
The story follows a group of college students, who are struggling to come to terms with the myriad of teenage issues that affects their everyday life in college. Tafie, Sherrie and Tasha- who is in constant battle with her spiritual life and the rest, with each other. They’re lack of confidence is magnified in their conflict with the body beautiful and most notably their appearance, which they are convinced defines them. Their child hood taunts and insecurities - once hidden, now on show for everyone to see.
Boaz and his ‘Boys’ are equally forced to confront deep rooted issues existing through the powerful dominance of peer pressure and fierce rivalry within the grounds of the college. The daily clash amongst the group becomes more apparent, especially through Boaz’s continuing need to be the centre of attention. However, the quiet and shy Solomon, fuels the situation even further, when he becomes part of the pact and decides to challenge the status quo. He highlights problems through his courage to speak up against Boaz’s antagonistic ways that appears to reveal the cracks in a somewhat seemingly firm foundation amongst the group. The challenge Solomon has is finding out who he is and what he truly stands for.
Tafie, Tasha and Sherrie, seek solace in each other, though their friendship is tested at every turn. While the unsuspecting ‘Boaz’s boys are put through their paces, in manipulative actions only the highly devious Boaz can conjure up.
However, in the run up to ‘The Event’ at the end of term, inevitably changes everything, with surprisingly interesting results. Their true identity and acceptance of who they really are, is finally realised, by recognising that they are not perfect and being different is a blessing and something to be celebrated.

I previously used to run a Women’s Writers Group, which has now become a empowerment and motivating page for newbie writers. This includes, inspiring posts/ writing courses and promoting publishers and tips on writing.

I have previously written for M G. A website that celebrates, highlights and focuses on music, and gospel news in the UK.
